Behind the scenes…This week’s Tune-In Tuesday is about process. Just as musicians practice scales, cartoonists have something similar. Here’s a sample page from my daily sketchbook. As an activity, I like to sketch out a bunch of characters without pausing to think about what to draw next. Not only is it a great exercise for the ol’ drawing muscle, it’s also very relaxing, and fun. Doodles like these are what inspire some of the characters in Rhymes With Orange. See anyone you know?
